The history of India is thousands of years old. Many such foreign invasions were encountered in this long history. While most foreign invaders lived here, Indian civilization got mixed up in the culture as if they were native to it. The arrival of foreign invaders and mixing with the civilization culture continued till the rule of the medieval Mughals. In the 18th century, when the British took control of some parts of India, for the first time the people here realized slavery.

Till now, all the foreign invaders had ruled India by accepting India as their country, but after the British took over India, they started exploiting it completely to make their country England blessed with blessings. In the 19th century, when the British ended the rule of the Mughals and took control of the whole of India, their exploitation atrocities also increased, the Indian public was caught in the shackles of slavery. Bharat Mata started groaning under the chains of slavery.

This struggle for independence started in the middle of the 19th century. In this struggle, innumerable brave sons of Bharat Mata were martyred and countless innocent Indians became victims of British oppression. Many heroes who had sacrificed their lives for the freedom of the motherland, had to live a hell of life behind bars. Most were also punished with black water. This struggle for independence lasted till 1947. Countless heroes of this freedom struggle include Mangal Pandey, Maharani Laxmibai, Tatyatope, Kunwar Singh, Ram Prasad, Subhash Chandra Bose, Chandrashekhar Azad, Bhagat Singh, Khudiram Bose, Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Lal Bahadur Shastri, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Jai Prakash Narayan, Abdul Kalam Azad etc. had special contributions.

After centuries of independence, when India became independent on 15 August 1945, the first Prime Minister of India, Jawaharlal Nehru, hoisted the tricolor on the ramparts of the Red Fort, since then every year the national flag is hoisted by the Prime Minister on the Red Fort. The flag is given a salute of 21 cannons and colorful programs are organized. After hoisting the flag, the Prime Minister gives a speech addressing all the citizens of the country. After the salute, the Prime Minister addresses the people about the year-long schemes and achievements etc. in the country.

They call upon the people to help in solving the problems being spread by the country. They pray for the people to remain united against the conspiracies to divide the country. Once again, we ask people to maintain unity and integrity. After this, all citizens pay their homage to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives and promise to protect the country's freedom by putting their lives at stake. At the end of his speech, he tells the people to repeat Jai-Hind three times, the ceremony ends with the national anthem.

Independence Day is our national festival, so this day is a national holiday. Apart from school-colleges and government offices, the flag is also hoisted in private offices and colorful programs are also organized. On this day, the whole national joy is filled with joy and enthusiasm, people congratulate each other. On this day different types of competitions are also organized in school colleges, sweets and prizes are also distributed after the conclusion of different types of programs.

On 15 August 1947, while hoisting the flag on the Red Fort, our first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru said, "India is awake at 12:00 pm when half the world is sleeping to get life and freedom." This is a moment that is rare when we are moving from the old era to the new era, India will regain its identity, after seeing the progress of India after independence, it can be said that this statement of Nehru is becoming meaningful today. Is Today, India is emerging as a political power not only in the world but also as an economic power.
